do you feel these are worth it for BIG dogs? i have a large rhodesian ridgeback but these things seem so small, do u give these treats to ur big dogs?

During training, the dog does not care how big the reward is, only the fact that he / she has been rewarded for a behavior. No matter how big the dog is, I cut these Mini Naturals in half so they last longer, cost less, and contribute fewer calories to the dog's diet. Luckily dogs live in the moment and can't think Wow, the last time I performed this behavior I got a big 1 ounce piece of meat for it! - LOL. I like these because even cut in half, they still have a moderately strong scent that the dogs like although the salmon is TOO strong to keep in my pocket.

I know these treats say "mini" but how small are they? One of my dogs has had most of his teeth extracted and needs pretty small treats.

Has anyone tried this in a Furbo dog camera / treat dispenser? Are they small enough to fit through the hole? Am I also wondering if they stick together because they are soft?

is the 1lb bag resealable (like a zipock) once it's opened?

yes it is ... and the sealed bag in my air-conditioned house formed HUGE amounts of mold .. the food is extremely moist and fragrant ... clearly dislikes being closed after opening ...

are these small enough for a 6lb yorkie?

They are small and even better, they are soft. I have a 12 pound dog and cut it into 1/2 or 1/4 to use as a treat so I don't stuff her that much. She doesn't care how big the treat is - they still stink and are tasty. A big hit in my training classes with all sizes (I also teach)

I'm looking for very small high value training treats for a 10 pound dog...how big are these, can they be easily broken into smaller bits?

You have made the right choice! These bites are smaller than a dime and can be easily broken. She swallows my 15 pounder. They are the perfect treat.

Do the salmon recipe treats have any chicken in them?

There is no chicken in the Zuke's Salmon mini treats. I know both of our Vizslas love the treat, and they are both fish eaters. Our only Vizla has allergies and the Zuke's treats don't disturb his allergies. In fact, I think the ingredients in the Zuke's Salmon mini treats help make our Asher's allergies less pronounced. I highly recommend Zuke's treats for pets, even cats. Our daughter's 15-year-old Burmese loves to chow down on the Salmon Treats / Zuke's for Felines. Excellent product.

To keep them from getting hard can I keep these in a large "jar" with a screw top rather than refrigerate them?

They do not to be refrigerated after opening. Resealing the original bag keeps them just perfect. Storing them in a jar should work fine as well.

Which flavor have you found to be the most popular with your dog?

I have only tried the pig taste so far. However, when I first opened the package my 3 dogs came running from different parts of the house. I had their undivided attention. Weeks later, the dogs still respond the same way. While the treats are about the size of an aspirin, they are a BIG hit. I plan to order other flavors and expect them to be just as popular with my dogs.

Has this company been sold to a major marketer? Is the quality still good if so?

I found them in pet stores, exactly the same but much more $

Where is Zuke's Nat. Dog Tr. Roasted Chx manufactured? What country do the ingredients come from?

it is manufactured in durango Colorado and it is advertised in the United States

These little treats are amazing! We have 6 dogs at our home of different sizes and breeds, and they ALL love them. My Dad's Bichon has had all of his teeth pulled except for the 2 fangs so I have to soak his kibble before feeding him. However, he has NO trouble with these treats. They are pretty soft, but not so soft to fall apart. There is no mess or crumbs. I am currently using them to house train my chihuahua puppy. Every time he goes potty outside I give him a treat and praise him. He is getting the hang of it after only a few days. I think if it wasn't so cold outside he would be 100% trained. I highly recommend this product and will always keep a supply on hand. I chose the the rabbit meat for something different, and they've been such a big hit we haven't tried any other flavors.

the zukes's mini naturals i always bought said "made in the u.s.". the new one i just received says "crafted in the usa"?where are the new ones made?

I just received this from the company: Response By Email (Braden Hunt) (03/20/2018 09:00 AM) Hello Scott! Thank you for contacting Zuke's. As part of the 2017 Zuke's packaging restage, we decided to revise the claim to "Crafted in the USA using the Earth's best ingredients". AAFCO defines "Made in USA" as all ingredients being sourced from the USA. Our meats all come from the USA, with the exception of our Wild Rabbit, Venison and grass-fed Genuine Jerky Beef, which come from New Zealand. The country of origin for each of our ingredients is listed on our Ingredients Page . Simply click the plus sign next to the ingredient name. I want to assure you that all manufacturing and sourcing practices have remained the same. Zuke's is manufactured in facilities located in the USA. With a history of zero product recalls since the company was founded in 1995, quality is our top priority. All of our suppliers and facilities are qualified for their food safety practices and regularly audited. We never manufacture or source any ingredients from China. Thank you again for writing us and please let us know if you have any additional questions. Sincerely, Braden Hunt Pet Parent Relations, Merrick Pet Care, Inc.

Why is there a warning for california prop 65 cancer causing ingredient? Which are they referring to? Seller can you remove and replace ingredient?

Thanks for writing us, and for being a concerned pet parent. The California Proposition 65 warning actually has to do with packaging, not ingredients. Any package that isn't labeled as BPA-free automatically warrants the Prop 65 warning. Our packaging is BPA and DEHP free, but not labeled as such!
