My shepards have a chew bone they have been chewing on for over a year...what is it made from to last so long??

Most likely a hard plastic that I removed from both of my dogs on the advice of my vet. Are they that hard? It can break a tooth and swallow the plastic? Is terrible for the dog's digestive tract! Stick to the hard rubber or all natural treats made in the USA for your fur baby!! Less stomach irritation and intentional problems down the road!!

What size should you get for a 40 pound goldendoodle?

If your dog is fully grown I would recommend the 6 inch 1. If your dog is younger and still an active chewer, I would recommend the 8 inch 1. These are very durable, so watch your bare feet! I have the largest 1 for my Rott & a 8 inch for my 1 year old Lab. These are pretty heavy bones!!

Do I give this to my dog or is there cellophane on it? I can't tell

You can give it to your dog. No cellophane. Our dogs love ours and I bought several

Is this bone BPA free?

How about for a one pound puppy?

Yes, it is small enough for a one pound puppy. My Shorkie chewed on it a lot. She was only a pound when we got him

Can a dog break off pieces and eat?

No... after a while the fibers of the bone straighten up a bit and it feels rough and maybe very very small pieces could come off but they would be so small that even a small dog could easily swallow them. ... the best bot I've ever bought. What I like to do is put peanut butter on it once in a while and my dog will sit on that bone for an hour…

Does this chew have shrink wrap around it

I'm pretty sure it wasn't shrink wrapped, but had a cardboard label wrapped around the center.

what size for 12 lb dog?

Got the big bone for a 80 lb dog and it's perfect! Durable and he still hasn't been able to destroy it!

I have a 60lb lab. What size?

I have a 1 year old lab and ordered a medium bone for her. An 7 year old Rott & ordered him a Large 1. But you should know. They liked it, but I didn't at all. They chewed the ends of it and the hard coating on it became jagged. It didn't bother them, but me? Holy Moly, don't step on it by accident! Those jagged edges will hurt your feet. In addition, the bone stuck to everything they came into contact with. I ended up taking it off both of my dogs and throwing it away :-( I'll stick with the heavy rubber chew bones from now on!
