Dimensions of all sizes of EXTREME KONG

I have a Boxador (65 lbs) and he is a very aggressive chewer. I give him the Kong Extremes XXL so he can destroy something. It will cost him a bit, but hey, they won't last if you have a really aggressive chewer and while they're a lot less expensive here on Amazon, you can still spend a lot of money on toys if you have an aggressive chewer. I have found the GoughNuts toy with the yellow dot to be fantastic. And they have a LIFETIME WARRANTY and are also available here on Amazon. I bought 2 different styles and he hasn't left a tooth mark on them yet and he plays with it all the time. (unless I give him something he can actually destroy - he really likes that).

How big is the x-large? I have a pit bull what size should I get?

I have a Pittbull that weighs around 65lbs and I give her the XL. She never stops chewing it. It has taken about 6 months so far. I definitely recommend the Kong Extreme. The normal king's toys do not last 2 days with her. I bought 2 and haven't opened the second yet. The extremes are great!

Your headline states that the Kong is BLACK but in the description it says it's made of a RED compound. Which is correct?

I'm guessing that was a bug they've since fixed as the description as of August 2014 says it's made from a black compound. Anyway, here's the info you're looking for: KONG makes these toys in different types of durability. There is one for puppies and one for seniors. Then the red one is the "average" and the most common. And the black is what this product is, the Extreme KONG. It's for "power chewers", dogs that tend to tear up all the stuffed animals and destroy a lot of rubber toys too. The compound is simply more durable. I know this is too late to help the original poster, but here's the info in case it helps anyone else. :)

size of medium black and large black kong

Hello, the medium is about 3 1/2" long and the large is about 4 1/2" long. Both have a 1" diameter hole in the center. Thanks for your interest, have a nice day.

Are kong toys made in the usa?

I have already thrown away the packaging, but the label in the photo of the product does say "made in the USA". By the way, our dog (Zilla) LOVES her Kong toys. We bought these, the bone (her favorite for tug of war) and the ball.

what size and rubber type should I get for a 25lbs german shepherd puppe?

For a 25lb German Shepard puppy that will grow quickly I would go for the Large Classic (Red) and when mature you will need the Extremely Long (Black) in at least an XL, maybe XXL depending on his weight. If you go to kongcompany.com they have a size chart you can check

What size for an 8 week old bully puppy

There is a smaller version in pink and one in blue for a small puppy, then a larger one in red and finally the largest size in black. Probably the pink or blue for an 8 week old puppy.

What size for a rottie puppy 8 weeks old?

You can get Small, 3 inches: dogs up to 20-lbs or Medium, 3.5 inches: dogs 15-35-lbs.

I don't see small senior purple under small ?

I was actually looking for the red one myself - so glad I got the black one - so durable.

Is this the same one i see in stores labeled "power chewer"? (kong extreme dog toy, black, small. asin: b001muvyo8 item model number: k3)

Yes. The black are normally the powerhouse. This is the small one so it's for puppies and smaller dogs. The color coding applies to all original Kong toys. Black is the heaviest. Red is the original. The light blue and light pink are made for puppies and from experience will not withstand puppies 6 months and older. Occasionally you will find purple for older dogs. I hope this helps!
