Which shampoo is best for skin allergies, sores, greasy skin and itching?
Probably the Earthbath Clear Advantages would be best if it's very severe. But our dog had allergies and we use the Earthbath Puppy Shampoo (our vet recommended the puppy shampoo - but I'm not sure that the Clear Advantages one was available back when we started using this brand). The Earthbath puppy shampoo does have a light scent - but very pleasant (I'm allergic to fragrances but it doesn't bother me). And our dog's skin is doing great! We've never gone back to using anything else - we love it.
does the Earthbath shampoos contain DEA or any other undesireable ingrd.? Thank you
All ingredients are natural, biodegradable, and gentle. This product does not contain anything that would harm your pet or the environment. NO: DEA, parabens, phosphates, synthetic dyes, or perfumes.
where are the ingredients listed?

Im using the Earthbath Puppy Shampoo and the ingredients listed in it are: purified water, renewable coconut based cleanser, aloe vera, natural cherry essence, olive oil squalene (preservative). Should I get puppy or Oatmeal/Aloe shampoo for new puppy? Leaning toward the Oatmeal shampoo because I prefer the scent but is it tear-free?
This is great for sensitive skin and puppies. I don't think it's tear free but it's all natural and no bad added ingredients. It's mostly just oatmeal, coconut oil, aloe. I highly recommend! The tear free ones usually have added ingredients. And they actually just numb the eye so you don't feel it burning, it's not that they are auper gentle.
what are the ingredients?
purified water, renewable coconut based cleansers, aloe vera & cherry essence (for conditioning), olive oil (for preservative). Made in the USA email@example.com or www.earthbath.com
Can I use this shampoo for my cat? I wonder what is the difference between dog's and cat's..?
Per the product details, this product is safe for all animals that are over 6 weeks of age.
best shampoo for a puppy
This is the MOST wonderful shampoo I've ever used for my dogs. I have an older Shih Tzu who has dry skin issues and this shampoo makes his coat shine, smells wonderful, and he stops scratching immediately after I bath him (which I do about once a week). Totally natural and made in the USA. Hope this helps.
Is this product cruelty-free (i.e: not tested on animals)?
This is on their website: "Our products are animal cruelty free and contain no animal ingredients or byproducts." http://www.earthbath.com/about/faq.php
Is this the best one for really itchy skin, or should I get the Oatmeal one?
It should be good for itchy skin. I have used it on my chocolate lab that has itchy issues and it helps!
How often should this product be used?
Vet said every 1 or 2 times per month is average. however, I think it depends on your dog and season. if he sepnds a lot of times outside, you may use it less than 2weeks or so on. I use it every 14-16days.(he is very active.) And around 7 or 8days after bath, I wipe my dog with steamed towel and a little bit of herbal oil(usually eucalyptus to prevent ticks). That makes him fresh and clean until next bath.i hope that helps your question.
is it tearless
No, under "Precautions" - it stated to avoid contact with eyes. Even though is all made of none toxic natural products, no coconut or oatmeal should touches the eyes.
My lab mix puppy (10 months old) has a dry/sensitive skin with some small hotspots and itches/scratches a lot. Which shampoo would work best for him?
I have a 6 year old Australian Shepherd who also suffers from dry skin and hot spots. He typically ends up with bacterial infections and has to be put on antibiotics and steroids for the itch (so he has a definite problem). My vet keeps insisting that he needs to be bathed more frequently (at least once a week when he is going through difficult times) - but I hate the "medicinal therapeutic shampoo" he wants me to use. (It reeks havoc on my hands!) I have begun using the Tea Tree and Aloe formula on him - just gave him another bath today and his coat feels wonderful - no scratching! I dilute the shampoo to 1 part shampoo and 10 parts water. This seems to work great and gets him nice and clean. As a side note, I have also switched him to an allergy formula dog food - Brothers Complete Turkey Allergy Formula. This is a very highly rated product on the Dog Food Advisor web site - 5 star. It is available at brotherscomplete.com - an organization in south Florida. Everything is grown here in the U.S. He is doing wonderfully on it - you may want to consider it as well if you think your pup needs it. Good luck!
Can you use it on Sphynx cat?
Used this shampoo on ma babies, very effective on removing the the brown oil accumulation. Yes, they don't recommend for cats as some are allergic, but no other breed more sensitive than our sphynx, ma babies are clean, no reactions an hour later. I use a washcloth, it suds well with little.
Is any of these a whitening shampoo?
Not that we are aware of.
Is this safe for a 5 month old pomchi?
I have a 10 year old pup that weighs 9 pounds and didn’t affect him. Reading the ingredients, appears safe and that’s why I ordered it. I’m very particular what I bathe him with. Hope this helps.
